Fiddler's Elbow Country Club Named NJGF Club of the Year
The New Jersey Golf Foundation, the charitable arm of the New Jersey Section, PGA of America, has announced that Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J. has been named its Club of the Year. This award recognizes the club’s successful mission to outreach and impact lives and communities through golf.
"We are honored to receive this award and greatly value our relationship with the New Jersey Golf Foundation,” Ken Donovan, President of Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club said. “The partnership Fiddler’s Elbow has with the Foundation is important as, together, we strive to grow the game among many different constituent groups.”
Fiddler’s Elbow has been involved in all areas of supporting the New Jersey Golf Foundation’s focus on its three core pillars, youth, military and special needs. Fiddler’s Elbow consistently has a commitment to junior golf, holding a PGA Jr. League team and hosting the PGA Jr. League Final Four. Fiddler’s Elbow also hosted the First Annual Special Olympics NJ Level I State Championship, Provident Bank Foundation Women’s Pro Am, and First Annual Mixed Stix Pro-Member-Guest outing.
In addition, Mat Kent, Director of Golf at Fiddler’s Elbow, lead New Jersey’s PGA HOPE (Helping our Patriots Everywhere) team to a victory at the Second Annual Secretary’s Cup, which was held in conjunction with the 2017 PGA Championship.
Fiddler’s Elbow was named the 2016 New Jersey PGA Club of the Year, and is the headquarters of the NJPGA and NJGF.
